The KingKong AX is the upgraded model to the KingKong 9. Cubot said the newcomer is thinner and lighter while retaining the same toughness as its predecessor. Not just the toughness, but the Cubot KingKong AX will also retain the hardware specifications of its older brother.
These will include the Helio G99 CPU from MediaTek, up to 24GB RAM (12GB main + 12GB dynamic RAM), and a built-in storage of 256GB ROM, expandable up to 1TB. The device will also come with a 6.58-inch screen with a dewdrop notch on the head, as well as a 120Hz refresh rating.
The Cubot KingKong AX will also use a secondary watch-size screen on the rear, along with three camera lenses pioneered by a primary 108-megapixel primary sensor. It will also come with a 32-megapixel selfie sensor on the front, an NFC, a sided Fingerprint, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Remember the thinness and lightness we mentioned above? Well, to achieve that, the built-in battery got halved. Now, you are getting a 5100mAh battery, bringing the phone’s thickness and weight down to 12.7mm and 296 grams. from the 17.7mm and 390 grams of the previous model.
Since is it a rugged device built for outdoor folks, toughness certifications like IP68 & IP69K ratings still come standard. One notable update on the Cubot KingKong AX is the OS. Now you are getting Android 14 in place of the Android 13 OS that came with the previous model.
We CANNOT guarantee 100% accuracy for the specification table above.
