The Moto Edge X30 is the bigger brother of the Edge S30. Even though naming of both of these phone sound closely related, their internal hardware and power are not. Beginging from the screen, the Moto Edge X30 comes in a 6.7-inches OLED display with 1-Billion colors. It has a 144Hz refresh, sport a dot-notch in the middle, offers HDR10+ and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Note that there is a model of the X30 with under display selfie camera, so no notch on that model.
Coming to the internal hardware, the Moto Edge X30 is the world first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen1; an octa-core 4nm 5G CPU running at 3.0GHz. There is Adreno 730 graphic processor, 8/12GB RAM with 128/256 Gigs of built-in storage, but without SD-card support.
On the camera department, the phone has three sensor on the rear; a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS and f/1.9 aperture; another 50-megapixel camera for ultrawide shooting, and a third 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The Edge X30 is not only the first smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen1, but it also come with a record breaking 60-megapixel selfie lens, hidden within the notch on the front, or under the screen for the notch-less model.
The device support dual Nano-SIM with 4G / 5G network. It is available in Glacier Blue and Phantom Black colors. The phone’s power button doubles as the fingerprint reader, and there is a 5000mAh battery with fast 68W charger, while the latest Google Android 12 is available out of the box. The full specs of Motorola Edge X30 is contained in the table below.
