Samsung Galaxy A12 is the direct successor to the Galaxy A11 announced back in August of 2020. Aside the change in design, Samsung also made changes to the internals, the most notable of which is the use of MediaTek CPU instead of Snapdragon chip used in the old variant. The new A12 mounts a 6.5-inches screen with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution, a PLS panel with a dewdrop notch overhead.
Powering the Galaxy A12 is MediaTek’s Helio P35, and octa-core 12nm CPU clocked at 2.35GHz, along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Storage option ranges from 3-6GB RAM and 32-128GB of built-in storage.
On the camera department, you are getting a four lenses at the back which includes a 48-megapixel main lens, a 5-megapixel ultrawide, 2-megapixel macro and a fourth 2-megapixel depth sensor, along with an LED flash, while a single 8-megapixel selfie sensor is housed in the notch upfront.
There is a side-placed fingerprint scanner, a single or dual SIM cards options and either Black, White, Blue or Red painting. There is a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging, while Google Android 10 runs out of the box. The full specs of Samsung Galaxy A12 is contained in the table below.
