This is Apple iPhone 15, the direct successor to the iPhone 14 of September 2022. There are a host of changes between the new iPhone 15 and its older model, the iPhone 14.
First and the most obvious one is the screen. Remember the Dynamic Island available only on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max of last year? It is now available on the vanilla iPhone 15. Also, the iPhone 15 is now super brighter than it predecessor, touching a peak brightness of 2000 nits, instead of the 1200 nits on the vanilla 14.
Coming to the device platform. the Apple iPhone 15 comes with iOS 17 out of the box, instead of the iOS 16 on the iPhone 14. Another important upgrade is the CPU. Now, the stage is run by Apple’s A16 Bionic, which is a 4nm process. The vanilla iPhone 14 came with A15 Bionic based on a 5nm process.
Another interesting change is in the camera department. You are still getting the same dual camera sensors on the rear, just like the 14. But the primary camera on the Apple iPhone 15 is now 48-megapixel with F/1.6, instead of the 12-megapixel on the predecessor.
Last but not least, say bye-bye to Apple’s proprietary Lightning USB connector. It is now replaced by a standard USB Type-C 2.0 interface, with DisplayPort support. The rest of the specifications of Apple’s vanilla iPhone 15 are contained in the table below.
We CANNOT guarantee 100% accuracy for the specification table above.
