OPPO Reno 2 is an impressive mid-range smartphone from Oppo Mobile. The first thing you’ll fall in love with on this phone is the display, which is almost bezel-less. The device is able to achieve above 87% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the use of a pop-up selfie, which increase the screen estate considerably, while the still keeping the device compact in the hand. The screen itself is a large 6.5-inch display, with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.
It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC, an 8nm octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz, along with Adreno 618 GPU, 8 GB RAM and either 128/256 GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via SD card.
The device packs a quad rear camera setup of 48-megapixel main sensor, 13-megapixel telephoto lens, 8-megapixel Wide-angle lens, and 2-megapixel depth sensor, couple with a single LED flash. Upfront, there is a single 16-megapixel sensor kept in the motorize pop-up atop the device.
Security wise, there’s an in-screen fingerprint scanner and AI FaceID along with other Android locks. It also supports dual nano-SIMs with 4G LTE network on both SIMs, a 4000mAh battery with OPPO’s 20W VOOC fast charging, and the Android 9.0 Pie, underneath Color OS v6 out of the box.
