Xiaomi Redmi Note is the direct successor of last year’s Note 7, and as you would expect, almost everything has seen upgrades. From its display to CPU and even, to a whole quad camera setup at the back. But the display remains a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display, with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, with a Waterdrop notch above the screen.
On the inside, there’s the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz, along with Adreno 610 GPU, 4/6 GB RAM, and either 32/64/128 GB of built-in storage. The Redmi Note also comes with a storage expansion option, to the tone of 256GB via SD card.
On the camera department, you are getting 4-camera sensors at the back, a combination of a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle secondary sensor, along with two auxiliary sensors of 2-megapixels each, one, as a dedicated macro lens, and the other, to serve as a depth sensor. If pixel count is your thing, then check out the Redmi Note 8 Pro which houses a larger 64-megapixel main sensor.
There’s a physical fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and yes, the Note 8 comes with dual Nano-SIM with support for 4G LTE network on SIMs. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging via USB Type-C interface, and boot Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
