The BV8800 is the latest rugged smartphone from Blackview, announced in December of 2021. The phone is both tough on the outside and on the inside, benefiting from the most powerful MediaTek midrange CPU in the Helio series. Starting from the front, the BV8800 comes in a 6.58 FHD+ screen with 1080 x 2408 pixels. It has 90Hz refresh rating as well as a notch on the head housing the selfie lens. The device is also IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H compliant, meaning it is both dust, water and drop resistant.
As mentioned above, the Blackview BV8800 has MediaTek’s Helio G96 CPU on the inside. The SoC has an octa-core CPUs at 2.05GHz, along with Mali-G57 MC4 GPU. Memory option a 128-Gigs of UFS2.1 internal storage, coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM.
Coming to the camera department, the BV8800 has four camera system on the back; a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 main lens, 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, 2-megapixel depth and a fourth 20-megapixel IR Night Vision camera, along with two ultraviolet IR LEDs and two other standard LED flash.
The model has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and available in Mecha Yellow, Navy Green and Conquest Black colors. Powering the phone is a large 8380mAh battery with 33W fast charger, while Google Android 11 with Doke OS 3.0 boots out of the box.
