The HMD Pulse is an entry-level smartphone offering a large display, long battery life, and a budget-friendly price tag. The device is the first series of smartphone from HMD Global.
Display: The Pulse features a 6.65-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While it offers smooth visuals, the resolution is capped at 720 x 1612 pixels.
Performance: Powering the device is the Unisoc T606 chipset paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Storage capacity is limited to 64GB but expandable via a microSD card slot (up to 256GB).
Cameras: On the back, you’ll find a dual-lens camera system with a 13MP main sensor and a secondary QVGA depth sensor. The front-facing camera for selfies comes in at 8MP. Both cameras can record videos at 1080p resolution at 30fps.
Battery: The HMD Pulse packs a 5000mAh battery, which should provide ample power for all-day use. However, fast charging is limited to 10W.
Other Features: The phone runs Android 14 and offers basic connectivity features like Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
