The OnePlus 8 is the 2020 line-up of smartphone from OnePlus. The device was announced alongside the Pro version. The phone specifications starts from a 6.55-inches FHD+ display with a Fluid AMOLED panel bearing 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It has 20:9 aspect ratio, and upto 90Hz refresh rate. But instead of the dewdrop notch in last year’s OnePlus 7, the new comer has a punch hole notch, housing the front facing camera.
Under the hood, the device comes with the latest Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip running 1×2.84 GHz Kryo 585, 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 and 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 585 CPUs with Adreno 640 GPU. There are two variant of the device; one with 8 GB RAM and 128 and the second version with 12GB RAM and 256 GB storage, which is not expandable on both sides.
On the camera department, the OnePlus 8 comes with a triple camera sensors at the back; a 48-megapixel main sensor, pegged with an 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor, featuring PDAF, OIS and a dual LED flash. Upfront, there’s a single 16-megapixel selfie sensor, supporting auto HDR and f/2.0 aperture.
The device makes use of an in-display optical fingerprint, It comes with dual Nano-SIM with 5G and 4G network support. It is available in four colors, fueled by a 4300mAh battery and run on the latest Android 10 with OxygenOS 10 out of the box.
