Oppo Reno5 5G is the direct successor of OPPO’s Reno4 5G. The new comer brings in Android 11 update, larger 64-megapixel main camera and now have a 12GB RAM storage option, and yes, 3.5 mm audio jack returned as well. Although it retains same 6.43-inches display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The pill notch on the older Reno4 5G is completely replaced by a dot-notch, and the AMOLED panel now upgraded to OLED with 80Hz refresh and up to 750 brightness nits.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno5 5G run on a 2.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor and Adreno 620 GPU. There is either 8GB RAM with 128GB storage or 12GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage; non-expandable on both sides.
As for the camera department, four snappers are housed at the rear side of the phone, this includes a 64-megapixel main lens featuring PDAF and f/1.7 aperture, along with an ultra-wide 8 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro and 2-MP depth sensors, while the selfie duties is handled by a 32 MP lens upfront.
Security wise, there’s an in-screen fingerprint scanner, an AI FaceID along with other Android locks. It also supports dual Nano-SIMs with 4G and 5G network on both SIMs. Battery power comes from a 4300mAh battery with 65W fast charging, while Android 11 runs underneath Color OS v11.1 out of the box.
