The Redmi 10 is the direct successor to Xiaomi’s Redmi 9 of last year. In comparison to the predecessor, there are three key pronounced upgrades in this new model. First, the outward design look more appealing, and even the screen now have a notch in the middle. Secondly, the main camera is now a 50-megapixel unit, instead of the 13-megapixle sensor on the 9, and finally, the CPU is now Helio G88, not Helio G80 anymore.
As mentioned above, the Redmi 10 is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G88 octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz, along with Mali-G52 GPU, 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 512GB via SD card.
As for the optics, the main camera on the Redmi 10 is a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL sensor with PDAF and F/1.8 aperture. There are other three auxiliary sensors of 8-megapixel wide lens, 2-megapixel macro snapper and a fourth 2-megapixel depth lens.
The fingerprint scanner is also moved from the rear to the side of the phone, and a space is reserved for dual Nano-SIM and an SD card on the side. Finally, the device has 5000mAh battery on the inside with 18W and 9W reversed charging, while Google Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 is available out of the box.
