Xiaomi Redmi 9 is the direct successor of the Redmi 8 launched back in 2019. As an upgrade, the new comer has a more powerful Mediatek Helio G80 CPU instead of the Snapdragon 439 Chip used in the older version. The screen also got pushed from a 6.2-incher to a larger 6.53-inch with FHD+ display resolution. The display panel is IPS and there is same dew-drop notch above the screen.
As for the CPU, the Helio G80 is a octa-core 12nm Cortex-A75 process clocked at 2.0GHz, along with Mali-G52 GPU, 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via SD card.
On the camera department, the Redmi 9 comes with four camera modules at the back. The main snapper is a 13-megapixel sensor with PDAF and F/1.8 aperture, pegged with 8-megapixel wide lens, 5-megapixel macro snapper and a fourth 2-megapixel depth lens.
Whats more? You are also getting a rear placed fingerprint scanner, space for dual Nano-SIM with 4G LTE network on both and the Android 10 with MIUI v11 out of the box, while fuel is supplies by a 5020mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
We CANNOT guarantee 100% accuracy for the specification table above.
