The Honor Play 3e is a midrange Android smartphone from Huawei. The device is obviously the cheaper version of the more premium Honor Play 3 announced earlier this September. The device has a plastic body with a four-sided curved backplate with a stylish design. One-third of the shell is left intact, while the rest has a finely striped texture, which looks very similar to the Huawei Honor Play 8A.
The intact strip is where the single 13MP rear camera is located together with the LED flash, a “13 Megapixel” text, and the Honor brand kept below. Some features of the rear camera includes an f/1.8 lens and supports HDR.
On the front, there is a 5.71-inch screen with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution, and the Honor brand seating below the screen. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6762R Helio P22 CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz, along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 2/3GB RAM and 32/64GB expandable storage.
The device will available in Magic Night Black, Platinum Gold, and Aurora Blue colours, powered by a 3020mAh battery, and will run on EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie. It will be equipped with a triple-slot tray – with two SIM slots and one slot for a microSD card of up to 512GB The full specifications and key features of the Huawei Honor Play 3e are detailed in the table below.
