The Samsung Galaxy A40 is the compact version of the Galaxy A30, such that, instead of the large 6.4-inch display on the A30, the Samsung Galaxy A40 comes in a compact body with just 5.9-inch Full-HD+, with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, with a U-shaped notch above the screen, which houses the selfie camera.

Specification wise, the Samsung Galaxy A40 is powered by the Exynos 7904 CPU, a 14nm Octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz. It comes integrated with Mali-G71 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB expandable internal storage.

The camera department includes a dual rear 16 MP + 5 MP Main sensor, featuring PDAF, f/1.7 aperture and a single LED flash, which is same setup seen on the Galaxy A30. At the front, there’s there’s an all new 25-megapixel large front-facing camera for selfie and video chats.

Like other Galaxy A-series, the A40 comes in either Single SIM or dual SIM options. The mobile phone 8s fuelled by a 3100mAh built-in battery, with 15W fast charging features, along with USB Type-C interface, and Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.
