Samsung Galaxy J2 Core (2020) is the upgraded version of the Galaxy J2 Core launched back in August of 2018. But trust me, aside the launch date, nothing else has changed. In fact, it more like the older version, re-branded with the addition of 2020 to it name.
So you are getting same 5.0-inch PLS TFT display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution, with the old 16:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by Samsung owned Exynos 7570 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, along with Mali-T720 GPU, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
On the camera department, the J2 Core (2020) comes with same 8-megapixel single at the back with a single LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor upfront. So no fingerprint scanner, don’t think of USB Type-C.
Although there is FM Radio, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.2 and support for dual Micro-SIMs with 4G LTE network support. Color options includes Black, Gold and Blue colors. And yes, you are getting the older Google Android 8.1 (Oreo, Go Edition) backed by a 2600mAh battery power. The full specs sheet of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core (2020) are contained in the table below.
