OPPO has officially launched the A5 Pro in Nigeria, positioning it as a stylish smartphone with a strong focus on durability and everyday toughness, even though it isn’t a rugged phone in the traditional sense. The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and is now available through both online and offline partner stores nationwide.

While the A5 Pro doesn’t carry a rugged certification, OPPO is marketing the phone’s build as being robust enough to handle common drops and daily use wear, likely appealing to users looking for a more dependable option without stepping into the rugged category.

The new A5 Pro joins the OPPO A3 and A3x, which serve as more budget-friendly alternatives within the same A-series lineup. The A3 is currently priced at ₦247,500, while the A3x is available for ₦175,900, giving buyers multiple options depending on their budget.

As for the A5 Pro, the device is powered by the Dimensity 6300 5G CPU from MediaTek. It is got a 6.67-inches screen and come with a dual camera setup on the rear, just like the above mentioned A3 and the A3x. The main shooter her is a 50-megapixel paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while a single 13MP selfie is used on the front.

The device has a 5800mAh battery with 45W fast charging. It comes with Bluetooth 5.3, and runs on Google’s Android 15 with ColorOS skin out of the box.
